Assignment 2: A/B Testing 

The Company 

The brand that will be analyzed is 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters. It is a Canadian company that has stores in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Their mission is to “make specialty coffee accessible to more people (in more ways) by crafting exceptional direct trade coffee, with intention, that inspires curiosity”.

They sell their coffee through Canada, and their goal as a business is to “work with individual varieties and express them in a delicious, balanced cup, showcasing each coffee’s unique qualities and characteristics”. 

The Goal

After analyzing the business website, our goal is to increase 15% of the sales for Christmas on the website. The date will be 25th November (one day after Black Friday) until 26th December (one day after Christmas) this year (2023). 


How do we achieve the goal?

Improve the descriptions of the products
Customers need to understand more about the product. This is a way to give reasons why they will buy your product or not.

Change the main photo of the banner
It would be better if the photo of the banner in the home section was a real photo of coffee from the company, not of the package. This modification can give more emotions and impact the clients more. Normally packaged products do not have the same appeal as a real image. In addition, the real image of the coffee can provide a sensation of being closer to the wish product. 

Put the CTA button on the blog
The blog of the company is really interesting and can be a way to catch more clients. Because of that, the company should add a CTA button to direct the user to the products, then they can see and buy what they need to do a good coffee. 

Create a page just for Christmas
On this page, the business can put products with discounts, and also in this section can build some content about recipes with coffee that people can do during Christmas.

Create videos with people teaching how to make coffee
When you develop videos for your audience they intend to be more attracted and this can be a great tool to improve sales. Through videos, you can show how to use the products, and how this can be a good choice for them. 

A personalized banner for the Christmas 
The home page is the principal page of the website, so if you want to attract more people to buy products for Christimas is important to build a way to do that, and a possible idea is to build a catch banner with a great photo, copy and CTA to make people click and go direct to the section of Christimas products. 

How do we make it possible?

All the steps are a good way to achieve the goal. One of them is:
